This custom PlayStation 5 Laptop is awesome, but you wouldn’t want one
Chinese modders have created a custom PlayStation 5 Laptop, and it costs £2200
Want a portable PlayStation 5? The modders at Notebook Review Studio in China may have the product for you. Presenting the PlayStation 5 Laptop, a custom system that places a PlayStation 5 console (not a PlayStation 5 Pro) inside a custom laptop case with a keyboard and a 17.3-inch 4K IPS monitor.
Weighing in at 4.321 kg, this “laptop” isn’t the most portable thing in the world. It’s heavy, even without its required power adapter. It also lacks a battery, so users must lug it from power outlet to power outlet. Furthermore, it is primarily built using 3D-printed parts, which limits the device’s rigidity.

You shouldn’t want this PlayStation 5 Laptop
If lugging this device around is appealing to you, you should know that it is loud, very loud. It is said to be louder than a standard PlayStation 5, with reports claiming the device can reach 71.3 dB. If this is correct, this Portable console can be as loud as a vacuum cleaner.
Another thing to note is that this device’s keyboard cannot be used in games. Given this fact, one has to wonder why the keyboard is there at all. The product’s use of a 60Hz screen is also a limiting factor, as it prevents PS5 users from accessing 40Hz and 120Hz modes in compatible games.
As cool as having a portable PlayStation 5 sounds, this implementation leaves a lot to be desired. While all devices like this will be heavy and require mains power, the reported noise levels of this system are too loud for it to be considered usable. Good luck hearing your game is the console itself is over 70 dB. Beyond that, the system is incredibly expensive.
