Sony’s Uncharted Movie is due to release to cinemas on July 16th 2021, bringing one of PlayStation’s biggest stars to the big screen. Today, the first images for the Uncharted Movie were released online, showcasing some of the film’s pops as well as Spider-Man’s Tom Holland as Nathan Drake, the film’s protagonist.Â
Nolan North has been confirmed to be on set during the film’s production, presumably helping Tom Holland in his portrayal Nathan Drake. Within the Uncharted video game series, Nolan North voiced Nathan Drake within all games in the series, making him the only actor that knows the character.Â
In a recent Tweet, Nolan North highlighted images of a key-like artefact and a book which contains an image of the Portuguese explorer Ferdinand Magellan. Mark Wahlberg will also be part of this movie as Victor Sullivan.Â
Tom Holland and Mark Wahlberg will be playing younger versions of Uncharted’s Nathan Drake and Victor Sullivan. As such, this film should act as a prequel to the video game series. Â

Based on these images, the Uncharted movie should see Tom Holland’s Nathan Drake follow the journey of Magellan and his circumnavigation of the globe between 1519 and 1522. With this being an Uncharted movie, we should expect Drake to investigate the disastrous expedition and discover its hidden secrets.Â

Like looking into a mirror! Proud to have @TomHolland1996 continuing the Drake legacy! Absolutely smashing it!
