Valve has allowed fans to create and sell game merchandise at Shapeways
Creators will also be able to promote or advertise their creations outside of the Shapeways store. Creators will need to license their items and give Valve 10% of the revenue from creations, though accessories for Steam Hardware will not require any form of revenue sharing.Â
Weâre incredibly excited to announce that, thanks to a first-of-its-kind program, Valve and Shapeways are partnering up to empower our communities of creators to make and sell 3D printed, gamer-created merchandise and accessories based on Valveâs games and hardware.
 Â
Creations that are based on Half-Life, DOTA, Portal and Counter-Strike are already available to purchase on Shapeways’ Valve Hub, which already includes bottle openers, jewellery and figures.Â
