Will Sony reveal their PlayStation 5 Pro tomorrow?

Sony to host “PlayStation 5 Technical Presentation” tomorrow

Sony has announced that Mark Cerny, the lead architect of PlayStation 5, will be hosting a “PlayStation 5 Technical Presentation” tomorrow at 4 PM BST. This event will likely be Sony’s PlayStation 5 Pro reveal event, as Mark Cerny is the perfect person to reveal such a console.

The event will last 9 minutes. There, we expect Cerny to discuss PlayStation 5, its limitations, and how Sony’s PlayStation 5 Pro console will address these limits. We also expect to see the PlayStation 5’s updated design and hear about its updated feature set.

Mark Cerny is a great speaker on console hardware innovations. If you are interested in Sony’s PlayStation 5 Pro console, tomorrow’s presentation will be worth watching.

Sony’s PlayStation 5 Pro console will make use of updated AMD hardware. This will include a larger graphics chip with new architectural innovations. Additionally, it should feature more memory bandwidth and some form of AI compute. Sony may also choose to reveal their long-rumoured PSSR AI upscaling technology, which will likely be exclusive to PlayStation 5 Pro.

PlayStation 5 launched almost four years ago. There is nothing about the standard PS5 console that deserves a “Technical Presentation” this late in its life cycle. That’s why we think this is Sony’s PlayStation 5 reveal event. Tomorrow, we should see what Sony’s updated PlayStation 5 can do.

You can join the discussion on Sony’s PlayStation 5 Technical Presentation on the OC3D Forums.
