New Cables to Manage - NZXT launches 12VHPWR upgrade cables for their ATX 2.X power supplies

NZXT now has a 12VHPWR cable upgrade for their older ATX 2.X PSUs

NZXT has just launched a new 12VHPWR cable upgrade for users of the companies C-series of power supplies, allowing users of their older ATX 2.X units to support Nvidia’s RTX 40 series graphics cards without investing in a new ATX 3.0 power supply.

In the US, NZXT’s cable upgrade option is priced at $19.99, and in the UK the cable is priced at £19.99, making this upgrade cable an inexpensive option for upgraders. Like all 12VHPWR cables, this upgrade cable option from NZXT is capable of delivering up to 600 watts of power to connected graphics cards.

This new cable from NZXT gives users of the company’s older ATX 2.0 power supplies an upgrade path that enables 12VHPWR support, negating the need for clunky 6+2-pin to 12VHPWR adaptors, or the need to upgrade to a newer ATX 3.0/12VHPWR compatible power supply. Props to NZXT for making this cable upgrade option available, though it is arguable that they should have launched this product sooner, as Nvidia’s RTX 40 series launched back in 2022.
