Ashes of the Singularity II will soon have a free PC demo
PC gamers will soon be able to enjoy an early demo version of Ashes of the Singularity 2
Stardock Entertainment and Oxide Games have confirmed that Ashes of the Singularity II (ATOS2) will be getting a free PC demo next week as part of Steam Next Fest. This demo will become available on February 23rd, and will give players access to multiplayer, skirmish mode, and two of the game’s three factions.
Unlike most other RTS games, Ashes of the Singularity 2 aims to reward strategy over clicks-per-minute. The game aims to deliver combat at a massive scale, rewarding strong unit positioning, compositions, and timings, rather than micromanagement. If the game functions as intended, Ashes of the Singularity will be much more accessible than traditional RTS games like Starcraft.
This demo will allow players to control the United Earth Forces and the Post-Human Coalition. This will give gamers a taste of what’s to come with this new RTS. Sadly, no single-player content is included with this demo. However, the final game will feature a full single-player campaign.
Ashes of the Singularity II’s upcoming demo will give gamers a glimpse of what the full game has in store. The full game is due to be released sometime this year. Below is what you can expect from the game’s Steam Next Fest demo.
