Call of Duty receives heavy discounts for Steam’s Summer Sale
Call of Duty receives steep discounts during Steam’s Summer Sale
Steam’s Summer Sale is running until July 9th, and during that sale, Microsoft/Activision is offering big discounts for all games in the Call of Duty Franchise. All games are discounted, from last year’s Black Ops 7 to the original 2003 Call of Duty. Well, we say all games, but Call of Duty 3 never made it to PC, so it’s obviously not on Steam. Additionally, Modern Warfare 2 Campaign Remastered isn’t available on Steam (for unknown reasons).
The largest discount is available for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II, with a huge 90% off. Last year’s Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 is 50% off, while many others are 67% off. If you want to catch up on some older Call of Duty games, now’s the time.
If you are a fan of FPS campaigns, now is a good time to grab some Call of Duty Classics. Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered (2017) has a 50% discount. World at War, Modern Warfare 2, Black Ops, and Modern Warfare III are also available for £14.99. Not bad for anyone looking to experience classic COD campaigns. As someone who prefers single-player games to competitive multiplayer games, these deals are hard to ignore.
Strangely, it’s the newest COD games that have the steepest discounts. While they also have the highest baseline prices, these larger discounts imply something that many gamers already know. The Call of Duty series has gone downhill in recent years. Let’s hope Modern Warfare 4 puts the series back on track later this year.
