Can you run it? Fable PC system requirements released!

Fable’s PC system requirements have been released

Fable is coming to PC and consoles on February 23rd 2026, with early access for Premium Edition purchasers starting on February 18th. Playground Games has officially their PC system requirements for Fable, detailing the hardware gamers will need to play the new action-RPG.

Note that Playground Games has listed hardware requirements for both 30 FPS and 60 FPS gameplay. Additionally, these hardware requirements do not appear to account for upscaling. As such, gamers should expect these requirements to apply to native-resolution gameplay.

Strangely, Fable’s recommended hardware requirements are for 1440p at 30 FPS and 1200p at 60 FPS. 1200p is a rare screen resolution these days, with 1080p being much more common. That, and the lack of a storage capacity requirement (the Steam page currently says 135GB), we expect Playground Games to update their PC system requirements image at some point in the future.

Overall, Fable is expected to run on a CPU with at least 6 cores, a GPU with 8GB of memory (VRAM), and a system with access to 16GB of memory (RAM). For 1440p at 60 FPS on high settings and 4K Ultra at 60 FPS, 12GB and 16GB of VRAM are expected, respectively.

GPU requirements

For 1200p (1080p?) 60 FPS gameplay at medium settings, four GPUs are recommended. These are Nvidia’s RTX 5060 and RTX 3060 Ti, and AMD’s RX 9060 XT and RX 6700 XT. For 1440p high settings at 60 FPS, the following GPUs are recommended. Nvidia’s RTX 5070 and RTX 3080 Ti, and AMD’s RX 9070 and RX 7900 XT. For 4K, Playground Games recommends Nvidia’s RTX 5080 and RTX 4080. No AMD alternatives are listed for 4K 60 FPS gameplay.

Note that Playground Games has not commented on Fable’s support for upscalers. Playground Games also made Forza Horizon 6. With this in mind, we expect Fable to support DLSS, FSR, and XeSS.
