CD Projekt confirms if The Witcher 4 will be at The Game Awards

Should we expect to see The Witcher 4 at The Game Awards

The Witcher 4 has been nominated for the “Most Anticipated Game” award at this year’s The Game Awards, and fans are eager to know if the game will be showcased at the event. Is there a new trailer? Will CD Projekt Red tease the game’s release date/year? Will the game be present at all?

CD Projekt Red’s co-CEO Michal Nowakowski has confirmed that the company will not be bringing any “new content” to The Game Awards. That means that The Witcher 4’s fans will need to be patient.

Earlier this year, The Witcher 4 was showcased at Unreal Fest. The game will utilise Unreal Engine 5. At the event, CD Projekt Red showcased a tech demo for the game running at 60 FPS on PlayStation 5 hardware. However, the company did not confirm that the final game would have a 60 FPS target on consoles.

Like its predecessor, The Witcher 4 is a graphical showcase. Visually, CD Projekt Red’s tech demo showcases a clear generational leap over The Witcher 3’s visuals. That said, it remains to be seen how the game’s final version will look. After all, there is no shortage of games where tech demos have looked better than the final game. Furthermore, it remains to be seen if The Witcher 4 will run at 60 FPS on consoles.

The Game Awards will be hosted on December 11th 2025. If you expect to see The Witcher 4 at this event, you will be disappointed.
