Death Stranding 2 pushes past 2 million sales following PC release
Death Stranding 2’s PC launch has been a huge success
After almost a year of PlayStation 5 exclusivity, Death Stranding 2: On the Beach has arrived on PC, and it’s selling well. To date, Death Stranding 2 has generated over 2 million sales across PC and PlayStation 5.
According to Alinea Analytics, Death Stranding 2 sold over 425,000 copies on Steam in week 1. Before then, the game had sold over 1.6 million copies on PlayStation 5. This means the game has a long way to go if PC sales are to match PlayStation 5 sales.
On PC, Death Stranding 2 has “Overwhelmingly Positive” reviews on Steam. Based on our testing (see our PC review here), we can confirm that the game looks great and runs well on PC.
Based on these sales numbers, bringing Death Stranding 2 to PC has already boosted the game’s sales by over 20%. This percentage of game sales will only increase over time as the PC version generates more sales. Given this game’s high £69.99 asking price on Steam, you can bet that this game will have a significant sales bump when the game is first discounted.
