DiRT Rally 2.0’s PC System Requirements Have Been Released

Codemaster’s DiRT Rally 2.0 is set to release on February 26th, succeeding 2015’s critically acclaimed DiRT Rally with hopes of delivering better visuals, more immersive/authentic vehicle handling and a large variety of tracks which span locations such as New Zealand, Argentina, Spain, Poland, Australia and the USA. 

The game is set to return the DiRT series to the hardcore roots of the Rally series, where players can drive “knowing that the smallest mistake could end your stage”. DiRT Rally 2.0 will feature eight official WRX tracks from the official World Rallycross Championship, offering both a single player career campaign and competitive online race modes. 

  
Unlike its predecessor, DiRT Rally 2.0 will release on all platforms simultaneously, unlike the original DiRT Rally, which launched initially on PC (via Steam) and later on Xbox One and PS4. 

Now, Codemasters has released DiRT Rally 2.0’s PC system requirements, letting PC gamers know exactly what kind of hardware is required to run their latest racer, showcasing tremendous levels of scalability by listing a minimum GPU requirement of a Radeon HD 7750 and a recommended system specs which include an RX Vega 56 and an Nvidia Geforce GTX 1070.

On the high-end Codemasters recommends hex-core processors like the AMD Ryzen 5 2600X and Intel’s i5-8600K, and high-end graphics cards like the RX Vega 56 and GTX 1070, all of which sit on the more expensive side of the hardware spectrum. The game will also make use of the DirectX 11 API, and take up around 50GB of storage space.  

At this time it is unknown what framerate, settings and resolution DiRT Rally 2.0 will target, though it points towards the game being extremely demanding when played at its highest settings.
