Modders have transformed Need for Speed Carbon with a new path tracing mod

xoxor4d, renowned RTX Remix modder and creator of GTA 4 RTX Remix has released a new RTX Remix path tracing mod for Need for Speed Carbon. This mod builds upon an older RTX Remix mod from the modder hopelessness, and transforms the visuals of this classic racing game.

Below, we see RTX Remix in action in Need for Speed Carbon in the embedded video below. The mod transforms the game’s aesthetic with path-traced lighting and reflections. xoxor4d’s contributions include a custom paint shader, dynamic wetness code, and several other additions.

If you own an Nvidia RTX GPU and want to play Need for Speed Carbon in a new way, this is the mod to try out. Honestly, it is shocking how much texture tweaking and improved lighting can transform an old game.
