Nvidia boosts Assassin’s Creed Mirage performance with Resizable Bar update

Nvidia gives RTX 40 and RTX 30 series GPUs an FPS boost with a new Resizable BAR update

Jacob Freeman, the official Nvidia GeForce Evangelist, has confirmed that they company has released a new update that can give gamers a significant FPS boost in Assassin’s Creed Mirage. This update is part of Nvidia’s latest GeForce GPU drivers, which adds a new Resizable BAR profile for the game.

Only Nvidia’s RTX 30 series and RTX 40 series GPUs support resizable BAR. Some RTX 30 series GPUs require a VBIOS update to support resizable BAR (here’s our guide on how to do that). Resizable BAR enables more efficient CPU-to-VRAM transfers and can enable significant performance boosts in some games.

Below, we can see that Nvidia’s Jacob Freeman has boosted his average framerate significantly on his RTX 4090 GPU. When playing Assassin’s Creed Mirage at 4K, we can se average framerates get boosted from 135 FPS to 145 FPS.

Assassin’s Creed Mirage already ran well on Nvidia graphics cards. You can see that in our PC Performance Review and optimisation guide for the game. Thanks to this update, Assassin’s Creed Mirage now runs even better on Resizable BAR compatible GeForce hardware. AMD has yet to release an optimised Radeon driver for Assassin’s Creed Mirage.
