Nvidia promises 7.6x performance gains using DLSS 4 in Dying Light: The Beast

Nvidia claims DLSS 4 can deliver a 7.6x performance boost in Dying Light: The Beast at 4K

Dying Light: The Beast is about to launch, and it will arrive on PC with a large number of ray-traced graphical features. The game supports ray-traced ambient occlusion, reflections, global illumination, and shadows, taking the game’s visuals to the next level. On day 1, the game will support Nvidia’s DLSS 4 technologies, including Nvidia DLSS Super Resolution, DLAA, DLSS Multi-Frame Generation, and Nvidia Reflex.

At 4K Maximum settings, Nvidia claims that DLSS 4 with 4x Multi Frame Generation can deliver a 7.6x framerate boost (on average) with Nvidia RTX 50 series graphics cards. When you move down to 1440p, Nvidia says that frameratemultiplier is 5x. At 1080p, this multiplier is 4.9x.

At 4K, Nvidia claims its RTX 5070 Ti can play Dying Light: The Beast at 200 FPS. With Nvidia’s RTX 5080 and RTX 5090, these framerates reach even greater heights.

At 1440p, Nvidia DLSS allows Nvidia’s RTX 5090 to play the game at over 500 FPS. Even Nvidia’s RTX 5070 can play this game at over 200 FPS at 1440p, and this is with DLSS in quality mode.

At 1080p, even Nvidia’s RTX 5060 can deliver a strong experience with ray tracing enabled. Almost 200 FPS with an RTX 5060!

Based on this data, Dying Light: The Beast will run great on Nvidia hardware. With DLSS 4, it should be easy for PC gamers to make the most out of high refresh rate monitors. Those 4K results make it clear why 4K 240Hz monitors exist. Furthermore, it makes higher refresh rate 4K displays seem necessary for today’s ultra-high-end gaming PCs.
