Resident Evil 2 to Receive “1-Shot” Demo on January 11th

Later this week, Capcom plans to release a “1-shot” demo for Resident Evil 2 on PC (via Steam), Xbox One and PlayStation 4, placing players into the shoes of Leon as he enters the police station of Racoon City.

On January 11th gamers will be given 30 minutes to complete the demo, after which the player will die and the game will end, offering no opportunities to retry the demo. If players succeed, they will be rewarded with a new cinematic trailer for the game, which, unlike the demo, can be played as many times as players want. This trailer will be exclusive to the demo, though you can bet that somebody is going to record it and post it on YouTube.

The demo is set to be deleted from all digital storefronts on January 31st, shortly after the game’s January 25th release date, giving gamers a 20-day window to try it out.
