Rocket League Now Supports Full Cross-Platform Play
Starting now the game supports multiplayer between gamers on PS4, Xbox One, PC and Nintendo Switch, with cross-platform play being available by default on all platforms. Â
Cross-Platform parties are not available on all platforms at this time, but the first major Rocket League update of 2019 will introduce a full cross-platform party system. Until then, players across all platforms can play together in private matches.Â
This announcement comes three months after Sony allowed Fortnite to offer cross-platform play on their PlayStation 4 console.Â
With special thanks to all of our friends and colleagues at PlayStation, we are thrilled to announce that starting RIGHT NOW, Rocket League has entered the PlayStation Cross-Play Beta program! Players on PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, Xbox One, and Steam can now randomly matchmake with or against each other in all Online match types (i.e. Casual, Competitive, and Extra Modes).
You can join the discussion on Rocket League gaining full cross-platform play on the OC3D Forums.Â
