Steam now has a dedicated “Great on Frame” page for its new VR headset
Valve’s almost ready to launch its Steam Frame VR headset
Valve’s next hardware launch is the Steam Frame VR headset, a standalone device that can run games on its own hardware or stream more demanding titles from gaming PCs. On Steam, as spotted by Brad Lynch, Valve has added a new “Great on Frame” webpage. This page highlights games that run on Valve’s new VR headset.
Currently, this webpage lists only four games. These are Portal 2 (which isn’t a VR game), Into Black, Aperture Hand Lab, and The Lab. The latter two of these four games are Valve VR tech demos. We expect Valve to add more games to this page over time.
Valve’s Steam Frame can run both dedicated VR experiences and standard PC games. Normal PC games will run on a virtual screen that gamers can see inside the headset. Based on Portal 2’s listing on Valve’s “Great on Frame” page, we should expect to see both VR and non-VR games added to this store page.
Valve just added the dedicated "Great on Steam Frame" category which will likely be the main page that the Steam store on "FrameOS" will open ontohttps://t.co/SVN9mlceAx pic.twitter.com/rQ4L03R7Cd

Valve’s Steam Frame aims to deliver a strong gaming experience to both standalone headset users and PC VR users. With Valve’s “Great on Frame” games list, gamers can purchase games knowing that they will run well on their VR headsets. Furthermore, Valve’s dedicated PC wireless adapter provides a dedicated PC-to-Headset link, ensuring a strong, stable, low-latency connection.
Other features like MicroSD storage expansion are sure to make Valve’s new headset popular with many gamers. With Meta offering no storage expansion options with its Quest series headsets, Valve will be seen as the more user-friendly option. That said, it remains to be seen how much Valve’s VR headset will cost.
