The Last of Us Part 2 Remastered’s PC version is reportedly finished

The Last of Us Part 2 has reportedly had a finished PC version since November 2023

According to the leaker billbil-kun, the leaker who accurately leaked the recent reveal of God of War Ragnarok’s PC version, the PC version of The Last of Us 2 Remastered is already finished.

The leaker has claimed that the game’s PC development has been finished since November 2023. This was before the game’s January 2024 release for PlayStation 5. So far, Sony has shown no sign that the game will be releasing on PC anytime soon. If this leak is true, it is unclear why Sony have decided to sit on the game’s reportedly completed PC version.

Why could Sony be sitting on The Last of Us Part 2? Perhaps they want to maximise the sale of the game’s PlayStation 5 remaster. It’s also possible that they want to wait for Season 2 of franchise’s HBO series. That would allow a PC version of TLOU2 to benefit from some extra marketing hype. That said, Sony could just be releasing PC games on a strict schedule. After all, they don’t want to have a time where they release too many or too few games.

Regardless, whenever Sony decides to bring TLOU2 to PC, they will need to update the game. Even if development is finished, a PC version would benefit from updates to features like DLSS, FSR, or XeSS upscaling. After all, these features are updated frequently to give gamers higher levels of image quality.
