Total War: Pharoah Dynasties becomes a Steam Top Seller

Total War: Pharoah’s free Dynasties Update turns the game into a Steam Top Seller

Creative Assembly has released their free Dynasties update for Total War: Pharoah. This new update has transformed the strategy game into a much larger game, complete with new factions, a larger map, and huge number of new features.

Now, Total War: Pharoah features four new playable factions, 168 new settlements, a new Dynasty system, and over 15o new and reworked units. Simply put, this game’s 2.0 update has transformed Pharoah into the game is should have been.

Thanks to this update, Pharoah is now number 11 on Steam’s Top Seller’s list. The game has also reached its highest player count to date. Before update 2.0, Pharoah has a peak player count of 5,424 (data from SteamDB). At the time of writing, the game’s Dynasty update has over 7,200 in-game players. This makes Pharoah the second most played Total War game today, with Total War Warhammer III taking the top spot.

Credit where credit is due, Creative Assembly have achieved what many though was impossible. Total War Pharoah’s considered a failure by many Total War fans. Now the game has a larger scope, a larger player base, and a wealth of new and reworked content. This is now a proper historical Total War game!
