World of Warcraft: Midnight now has an official release date
World of Warcraft: Midnight is coming to PC in March 2026
Following a long string of leaks, Blizzard has announced that World of Warcraft’s next expansion, World of Warcraft Midnight, will be released on March 2nd 2026. This is one week later than the date that leakers predicted. The expansion will add new levelling zones, dungeons, and raids to the game, and continue the game’s “Worldsoul Saga” narrative.
Midnight will take players to the Elven Kingdom of Quel’Thalas and Silvermoon City, where players must protect the Sunwell from the Devouring Host and their leader, Xal’athah. The expansion will also introduce a new race called the Haranir, which can join the Alliance or the Horde. The expansion will also introduce a new Demon Hunter Specialisation called “Devourer”.
Adventure is calling you home on March 2, 2026. Return to the elven kingdom of Quel’Thalas. Stand against Xal’atath and her Void army. Explore new and reimagined zones, experiment with new abilities, and face all-new Delves, dungoeons, and raids. And, of course, make a home of your own in Azeroth with player housing. Because home is worth fighting for.
Assuming that World of Warcraft’s development continues as planned, the Worldsoul Saga’s final expansion, “The Last Titan”, will be released in late 2027 or early 2028.
As always, World of Warcraft: Midnight will be available through Blizzard’s Battle.net launcher. Additionally, the game will be available on PC through the Microsoft Store. Currently, there are no plans to bring World of Warcraft to Steam or any other PC platforms.
