Up Close:  Interior Rear

As usual, the rear is where it’s at these days, however, what with the CPU cut and the large radiator cut out, there’s not actually a lot physical rear left.  Still, let’s have a closer look shall we.

Cable management space is always of prime importance, and we’re pleased to say that the Crystal has an ample, although not overly generous 20mm of space for the majority of the rear area. 

We say majority as the front third of the case has only 10mm of space, but as the only cables running around here are likely to be fan cables or SATA data and power cables then it’s not really an issue.

Towards the bottom right hand corner there’s a pair of quick release SSD mounts, with some generous cable management cut outs along the very bottom edge.

Up in the top left hand corner we find the other side of the 3.5″ drive mounts.  The mounts can be removed via thumb bolts and slid out from the other side to enable the use of larger radiators.

Here we can see the the two 3.5″ caddies after their removal.

Looking up into the roof of the case from the main side again we can now see the area where the caddies have been removed from.  The black plastic area to the rear of the PSU, and the dished metal plate can also be removed, as we’ll see when we get to the build stage.
