Arctic Liquid Freezer III 360 and 420 Review

Conclusion

Conclusion

If I am honest, I expected better from this cooler. The Arctic Freezer II series was well respected, and great things were expected from this next-generation version. Add on the cooler’s default support for an Intel Contact Frame, and there was a lot that we were excited about. That said, Arctic has still managed to leave us impressed, albeit for a different reason that we expected.

What we expected was a top performer. Sadly, this wasn’t the case. What we have here is a CPU cooler that offers a lot of value for money. Today, (we have updated this review since launch), we can find the RGB 360mm and 420mm Arctic Freezer III coolers available for under $90 and $100 respectively. That’s very little money for RGB CPU liquid coolers of this size.

If you can’t afford the best of the best, but still want a BIG CPU liquid cooler to fill your PC, the Arctic Freezer III series is well worth looking into. Both models handily outperform similarly priced air coolers, and represent strong value for liquid cooling enthusiasts. Yes, these coolers aren’t the best of the best performance-wise, but they aren’t terrible performers either. That’s why Arctic’s strong pricing has made these coolers so worthy of consideration.

Today, I can buy a huge 420mm CPU liquid cooler for under €100. That’s madness! If you want to fill a big case and have a tight budget, you money will stretch far with the Arctic Liquid Freezer III series.
