ASUS TUF Gaming GT501 PC Case Review
A new White case from ASUS – Enter the TUF Gaming GT501
Sometimes, there is a case that sparks our curiosity, and in this instance, that case is the TUF Gaming GT501. We saw this enclosure popping up at retailers, and we wanted a look at it. After a quick chat with ASUS’ PR team, we had a case coming to us for review.
Today, we are looking at the latest version of ASUS’ TUF Gaming GT501 chassis, a white edition case design that features three 120mm RGB fans out of the box and a single 140mm rear fan as standard. This case is designed for both air-cooled and liquid cooled systems alike, with support for up to two 360mm radiators out of the box. Beyond that this case’s carrying handles makes this a great case to bring to LAN events, supporting systems that are up to 30 KG.
What ASUS had here is a stylish case that appears to tick a lot of boxes, and today we will find out whether or not this case is worth your hard earned cash. Does the TUF Gaming GT501 White Edition cut the mustard? Let’s see.
Out of the box, ASUS’ TUF Gaming GT501 chassis features a rear-mounted 140mm fan and three front mounted 120mm fans. In addition to this, the case also supports up to three top mounted 120mm fans, or two top mounted 140mm fans.
The GT501 is designed to give PC builders ample airflow, though we will note that this case’s front panel design may limit overall airflow somewhat. A more open air design could enable additional airflow, though we wouldn’t call this case’s stock vents undersized. We have seen plenty of cases that leave their fans criminally starved of airflow. This case is not one of them.Â
Liquid Cooling support
At the top of the GT501, custom water cooling setups can be installed that feature a top mounted radiator that is up to 60mm thick alongside a single bank of 25mm thick fans. On the front, a 30mm 360mm radiator is supported, though thicker radiators can be mounted if your remove this case’s 3.5-inch HDD mounts and modify the case’s PSU shroud. Â
