Cooler Master at Computex

Today, we will be having a look at Cooler Master’s Computex 2018 booth, allowing us to have a gander at everything that the company has to show us, which includes both soon-to-be-released products and more than a few prototypes.

As usual, Cooler Masters offerings are mainly in the form of cases and cooling solutions, though you will all be happy to know that a lot of these designs are a step away from the norm, which should give us all a lot to talk about.

Time for something completely different

First off, we have a new accessory for Cooler Master’s MasterCase series, offering users an entirely new way to mount their motherboard, graphics cards and AIO liquid coolers.

What we have here is a strange diagonal mount system, which places the user’s motherboard and graphics card at an angle within their chosen enclosure, offering users an unconventional, yet striking aesthetic.

In some ways, this accessory offers a similar visual change to systems with vertically mounted graphics cards, especially when you realise that the GPU in the setup below requires a PCIe riser card. In our video tour of Cooler Master’s booth, which is on the final page of this report, you will also be able to see a radiator mount on the back of the unit, behind the motherboard tray.

This add-on is currently in its prototype stages, and sadly there is no firm release date for this unnamed product. In our Cooler Master booth video, you can see this unit installed in an H500P chassis alongside a custom liquid cooling setup.

To be completely honest, this product has had a greater impact on us than pretty much anything else at the Cooler Master booth, so much so that we may add this part to our H500P-based video editing system when Cooler Master eventually releases this as a final product.
