Up Close:  Cold Plate

The MA410M utilises CDC 2.0 technology to extract the best thermal transfer between the 4x6mm heat pipes and the CPU lid.  The pipes travel up into the stack, staying mainly towards the outer margins of the stack.

Unlike the majority of the competition, the MA410M actually has a temperature probe in the cold plate.  Not only with this probe give a read out suing the appropriate CM software, but it can actually be set to alter the colour of the addressable RGB lighting to indicate the coolness or hotness of the CPU.  Clever stuff.

The image below shows the bottom end of the “Hexagon Hologram” cut into the Aluninium fin.  Where the light show is undoubtedly impressive, we don’t think we’d go so far as to say we can see holograms within it.
