Corsair FRAME 4000D PC Case Review

Conclusion – Corsair’s best case in years

Corsair is back! The FRAME 4000D hasn’t made a case this good in years

Initially, we weren’t impressed with the FRAME 4000D. Corsair has promised a lot with their “FRAME” concept, and we are yet to see the fruits of that endeavour. Without Corsair’s planned range of FRAME series upgrades and accessories, we thought this case was simply the “new version” of the 4000D. We were wrong.

If I am honest, reviewing this case is like greeting an old friend after a long time away. We have reviewed PC parts here for over a decade, and the FRAME 4000D feels like the case that the “Corsair of old” would build. The FRAME 4000D is a return to form for Corsair. This isn’t a PC case that has had its heart and soul stripped out to it with market research, this is a case with spirit; a modder’s spirit.

Even if Corsair’s “FRAME” plans fail, the FRAME 4000D is a case that can stand on its own. The FRAME concept may offer many great upgrade possibilities, but as it stands, the FRAME 4000D already delivers where it counts and does so with affordable pricing.

With a starting price of £79.99, the FRAME 4000D gives us a lot of case for our money. Add £10, you get three RS 120mm fans. Add £10 more, those fans are ARGB. This case offers a strong value proposition as is, and if Corsair’s FRAME concept comes to fruition, that value proposition will only get stronger.

Corsair, you are onto a good thing here. This is one of the best cases that you have released in recent years. Now you need to make sure that your FRAME concept delivers what’s been promised. If that happens, Corsair’s case department may enter a new golden age.
