EVGA DG-77 Review

Up Close:  Interior Rear

Those of you that noticed that there wasn’t a stick of storage space round the front will be delighted to know that EVGA have hidden it all back here.  In total you get two dedicated 2.5″ mounts, as well as a pair of mounts that can be used for either 2.5″ or 3.5″ drives.  This view of the case also lets us better understand the cable management options available.

Talking of which, towards the rear area there’s only about 15mm, which isn’t a lot, but if you keep things tidy should be plenty.

Things are better in the front section of the rear of the case, with about 35mm of space to be had.  Do bear in mind though that if you’re going to be sticking a pair of 3.5″ drives in here you’re going to have to get pretty imaginative with your routing.  All in all though, we think the cable management provision is more than adequate, although best suited to the more OCD among you.

The pair of 2.5″ drives come on QR mounts, which makes attaching them a piece of piddle.  To make the best of these you’re going to want to select your SATA data and power connections carefully

Right down at the bottom we find the PSU area.  EVGA don’t give any figures on compatibility, but even without getting the tape measure out, it’s plain to see there won’t be any issues with long PSUs.
