HYTE unveils colourful new products at Computex 2025
Here’s what HYTE had to show us at Computex 2025
We called Thermaltake the King of Colour at Computex 2025, but HYTE is making us eat our words. Their Computex showroom was filled with colourful cases, fans, and accessories, and their colour matching skill are on point.
HYTE’s headline product is its new X50 series of high-airflow PC cases. These cases feature a rounded aesthetic and exterior panels filled with perforations. The case is available with a “Laminated Acoustic Glass” window or with a perforated steel side panel. These models are HYTE’s X50 and X50 Air respectively.
Colour-wise, HYTE has unveiled Snow White, Pitch Black, Cherry, Strawberry Milk, Taro Milk and Matcha Milk versions of its X50 chassis. Only the case’s black and white options will have Air series variants. The rest will have tempered glass side/top panels.
As mentioned before, this case features a bent “Laminated Acoustic Glass” panel, which is 4mm thick and is made out of two glass layers. This panel reduces noise transmission more than standard tempered glass panels. Additionally, it makes the panel “shatter-proof(ish)”, as the bonding layer ensures that the glass doesn’t fragment into a million tiny pieces when broken.
The Hyte X50 and X50 Air will be available this summer. These cases will cost $149.99 and $119.99 for the X50 and X50 Air, respectively. However, this pricing may change in the US due to tariffs.
Hyte details is manufacturing process at Computex
When I saw the HYTE X50, I wondered how HYTE managed to create its perforated front panels. I’m the kind of nerd who wonders how things are built, and this front panel looks like a nightmare to manufacture. Thousands of small holes on a panel that needs to be pressed into shape? Yikes!
On display at Computex were a lot of HYTE’s failed attempts at creating the Air X50’s perforated front panel. Two examples saw the panels tear during pressing, while another had a border that was much larger and less visually appealing. Thankfully, HYTE eventually managed to optimise their design and create something manufacturable and visually pleasing.
Coloured fans and CPU Frames
For most of their X50 colour options, HYTE has created matching Flow FX12 series 120mm fans. Note that the only case that lacks a matching fan option is HYTE’s Cherry model. These fans come in packs of four to maximise value and give users fuller case coverage. Four fans are enough to cover the base and rear of the HYTE X500, leaving only the front of the case fan-free. However, users of all-in-one CPU liquid cooling solutions will likely mount their radiators here, removing the need for extra fans.
HYTE has also unveiled a range of new PCIe 5.0 compatible riser cards. These riser cards are ready for the latest graphics cards and are available in a range of colours. These riser cards have been made with HYTE-s Y-series PC case in mind and support the full speeds of PCIe 5.0 devices.
