Lian Li Galahad II LCD 360 RGB Review

Conclusion – A solid performer, but we had issues

Conclusion – The Lian Li Galahad II LCD is an exceptional performer, but overall this AIO is a mixed bag

Lian Li’s new Galahad II LCD is a CPU cooler that we want to love. It’s thermal performance is amongst the best CPU coolers that we have ever tested, but the software issues that we have faced prevent us from giving this cooler a real recommendation.

During testing we couldn’t get Lian Li’s software to detect the unit’s fans. Even after updating our unit’s firmware, and using a second AIO, we failed to make use of the software features of the Lian Li Galahad II LCD. This makes the LCD aspect of this heatsink pointless, and the RGB control from Lian Li’s L-Connect 3 Software. This is hugely disappointing, especially given this heatsink’s thermal performance.

Simply put, we needed to call time on this review. We do not have all the time in the world to troubleshoot products. After multiple firmware revisions and multiple AIOs, we had simply ran out of time and enthusiasm plus we would still raise all of these same points even if we did accept Lian Li’s offer of a 3rd unit for testing.

Honestly, we want to give this AIO praise. Lian Li have created a solid CPU cooler, but its added features sadly did not work as intended for us.

Lian Li’s Galahad II LCD Performance 360MM AIO water cooling is currently available for £229.99 at Overclockers UK.
