Lian Li Galahad II LCD 360 RGB Review

Thermal Performance

Thermal Performance

As always, our CPU cooler testing has been conducted on an overclocked i9-9900K that is clocked at 4.8GHz at 1.2V. Using this configuration, we test the thermals of our processor using various CPU coolers. These tests were heavy loads, using OCCT for 30 minutes. The charts below shows the data we have gathered.

Thermally, the Lian Li Galahad II LCD has delivered stellar results for us. It is consistently amongst the best performing heatsinks that we have tested. Unlike ASUS’ ROG Ryujin III series heatsinks, the 8th generation Asetek pumps uses in these new Lian Li coolers are quiet, even at higher RPM levels. We tested this cooler at both 2200 RPM and 3600 RPM pump speeds. This allows us to see the impact of pump speed on overall cooling performance.

1000 RPM

With its fans set to 1000 RPM, Lian Li’s Galahad II LCD is quiet. It also sits amongst the best performing heatsinks that we have tested. If you want strong thermal performance, it is hard not to recommend this heatsink. That said, our previously discussed software issues do dampen our enthusiasm.

Max Fan RPM

Setting the fans on Lian Li’s new Galahad II LCD to 2450 RPM, we see the thermals delivered by this cooler drop to some of the lowest values that we have ever seen in our CPU cooler test suite. This heatsink is less than half a degree away from being the best AIO that we have ever tested. That’s a huge achievement for Lian Li.
