NoFan CR-80EH Passive Heat Sink Review

NoFan CR-80EH Review

Silent running has long been one of the holy grails of PC ownership. On occasion we come close, and indeed when reviewing can often be heard to use phrases such as “Practically silent” and “almost inaudible”.  Practically silent, though undoubtedly appreciated, is not the same thing as silent.

We reviewed the NoFan CR-95 back in November 2011 and, it’s fair to say, were more than pleasantly surprised.  That said, one of the few criticisms we had of it were the interference issues it caused with RAM heatsinks and PCI slots.  In response to this NoFan have released the CR-80EH, with its innovative cone shape aiming to improve compatibility whilst at the same time providing zero noise cooling all-be-it with a slightly lower TDP of 80 Watts.
