Neither of the two big Threadripper CPUs are designed for gaming as a primary function, something AMD readily admits, and a lot of games aren’t designed for core and thread counts this high. Within the supplied software you can actually disable a lot of the cores to allow these games that have been poorly coded to run smoother. For the sake of consistency we’re not running that mode and you can see the results in Total War : Warhammer. Turn the CPU into legacy mode though and everything goes back to normal.
