Introduction

It’s amazing how quickly the price of PCI Express 4.0 equipped motherboards has dropped. When they first appeared on the AMD Zen platform the price caused sharp intakes of breath across the world, but like all technologies it has rapidly reduced until it’s now affordable for the masses.

How affordable? The B560M-Plus TUF WiFi has an MSRP of £150. Given how affordable both the newest 11th Generation Intel Core i5 processors are it’s a bargain for anyone looking to get on board the PCI Express 4.0 train without breaking the bank. It’s a large reason why we recently reviewed the Intel Core i5-11400 on a similarly affordable motherboard. We don’t rate the new Rocket Lake Core i9 all that highly, being slower and hotter than its 10th Gen predecessor, but the Core i5s are fantastic value for money and a perfect option for anyone seeking to squeeze more room out of their budget to get a beefier GPU than they could otherwise afford.

Thus, if you are someone with a limited budget and wanting to go with the 11th Gen Intel platform the B560M-Plus TUF WiFi might be a great platform upon which to build you new gaming rig. Let’s cast our eyes across what it has to offer.

Technical Specifications

We’ll be covering all of this on the next couple of pages but it’s always nice to see it in one place. Although we don’t yet have information about the exact nature of the 8+1 power phase makeup, nonetheless even if it’s 55A it’ll be enough to handle the Core i5. We’ll update you as soon as we know more. Although we’ll never understand why manufacturers are so coy about the exact components in such an important part of their product.
