It is the little things that make the difference. We know this is, by no means, the first white ROG motherboard we’ve seen but we still love that we get it in a white box, rather than the regular black and red.
Even the stickers and accessories are white. Or silver.
Yes, this still makes us want a beer. Yes we’re still disappointed there isn’t one in the box.
If the devil is in the details then the ASUS ROG Z890 Maximus Apex went down to the crossroads. White WiFi 7 antenna will perfectly match the pale hue of the motherboard PCB.
It’s important to remember that the latest and greatest tech isn’t what most people have. Nonetheless, putting all the drivers on a thumb drive not only ensures those without an Optical Drive can access them, but you get a free branded thumb drive once you’re up and running.
This is by no means the first fan cooler designed for memory kits. However, we love that it’s so well designed. Look how neatly it fits in. We just hope it isn’t too loud. We’ll find out soon enough.
Lastly the DIMM.2 module is a well known ASUS bit of kit that gives you additional storage space should you need them. You are giving up two DIMM slots for it though.
