We use a custom blend for our Blender test and it’s one of the sternest tests in our whole benchmark suite. Anything that runs for the best part of half an hour soaks a lot of heat into the system and really shows how good or bad the chipset and power phase heatsinks are. The Maximus XI Extreme is a little faster than the Strix at stock and a few seconds slower when overclocked. Five seconds over a test which lasts 1500 seconds isn’t worth worrying about.
