3D Printing

Of course we understand that almost nobody owns their own 3D Printer. They might be much cheaper than they were a few scant years ago but they are still hardly the most affordable item around, and any that are run at such a low resolution that they are all but useless for such precise work.

Fortunately whilst we might not have one at home or in the office, many printing companies are equipped with them and because of the universal file format you can design one at home and send the digital copy to a professional printer to have them produce the finished item. Just like you do with your photographs these days. ASUS even supply a cut down editor and a template that gives you the exact measurements necessary to have you up and running in a jiffy. Sure it’s still 3D design so there is still some learning curve to it, but most of us will only want our name and by utilising text extrusion you’ll be rocking and rolling in an afternoon.

We said on the previous page how ASUS aren’t limiting you to something which only covers the M.2 slot, or even just the USB headers. Albeit in varying image sizes here are some examples of the kind of work which is possible.
