EVGA X299 Dark Review

Test Setup

We had to take advantage of the included bench table. After all, it’s a handy feature to have particularly if you’re the type of person who wants to overclock the bejebus out of your system before putting it into a case.

Overclocking

The Dark overclocks very easily and managed to push our i9 7900X up to 4.6 GHz. We don’t know about you but 4.6 GHz of 20 thread power should be enough to handle anything you throw at it. Those members of our team who are stuck rendering videos on quad cores are extremely jealous, and if you do much gameplay sharing we’re sure you will be too.
