EVGA X570 Dark Review

EVGA X570 Dark Review

Test Setup

We’ve recently looked at the ASUS Crosshair VIII Extreme and discovered that our CPU was already right at its capability limits and no amount of extra performance in the motherboard could squeeze more out of it. So rather than subject you to an endless suite of graphs that don’t really teach us anything new, let’s use the two big Ryzen 5000 CPUs to see how the EVGA X570 Dark stacks up against the ASUS flagship.

VRM Temperatures

With such serious cooling on the power phases, and a redesign of the motherboard layout, the EVGA Dark promises to delivery low VRM temperatures and sure enough when we put it through its paces that’s exactly what you get. Those of you who’ve ever feared that the top half of your motherboard is just going to soak heat in to your system can rest easy. The EVGA Dark is a beast.
