Up Close – In Detail

At the top right we have the two CPU fan headers which are such a normal thing to see these days, whether you’re using a 120mm AIO or a twin fan tower cooler. Next to those the addressable and regular RGB LED strip headers to control your lighting.

Next to the four braced DDR4 DIMM slots – with support for 128GB of 3200MHz memory – we have the 24 pin ATX power input and the two front panel USB headers in both 19pin and the more user-friendly connector type.

At the bottom right we have six SATA ports in their usual 6Gbps format just above the front panel connectors and three case fan headers, one of which pulls double duty as a water pump header, should you so require.

At the bottom edge we find the USB 2.0 headers that are still such a key part of a modern system with all the RGB lighting we have draped around our setup. There are a pair of RGB LED strip headers in regular and addressable forms and lastly the front panel audio connector sits on the same separated board as the Realtek ALC1220-VB codec.

At the top end of the back panel we have four USB 2.0 ports for your input devices and less demanding peripherals, with the antenna for the Intel WiFi 6 AX201 wireless which includes Bluetooth 5.1 support. Below that is the HDMI 1.4 port which supports up to 4096×2160@30Hz.

Lastly the USB 3.2 Gen2 ports (red) sit alongside a Type-C 10Gbps port. Then we have the USB 3.2 Gen1 Type-A slots sitting below the LAN connection point that plumbs the Intel 2.5G LAN into your internet or home networking. Below that are the jacks for the Realtek ALC1220-VB audio.
