Intel Core Ultra X9 388H Review

Cyberpunk 2077

General performance is all well and good, but the Intel Arc B390 is built for gaming, and that’s the cornerstone of this flagship Ultra X9 388H CPU. You don’t just get decent onboard graphics, but Intel’s XeSS – X e Super Sampling, their DLSS/FSR equivalent – brings more FPS. If you really want to get those high frames rocking then this new B390 also has Frame Generation built in, up to 4X. It has a jaw-dropping amount of performance available. Heck it’s not far behind the discrete Intel Arc A580 we tested. Wild.

What we especially like is how efficient it is. The difference between the Intel Ultra X9 388H when running off the mains or off battery power isn’t that much. Obviously mains gives more performance, but it’s not night and day.
