Intel Kaby Lake i5 7600K and i7 7700K CPU Review

Intel Kaby Lake i5-7600K and i7-7700K Review

Core i5-7600K Overclocking

We decided to keep our volts sensible to keep temps down and focus on what most will see as the holy grail of 5GHz. This came pretty quickly and needed just 1.31v manually put into the BIOS, this was even more impressive when you take note of the fact that the memory is also running a staggering 3866MHz. Temperature wise with a Corsair H110i GT taking care of the cooling we never saw above 80c, so any of you out there looking for a big overclock and want a quiet system you will be forced to invest in some hefty cooling.

This overclock was 100% stable but for the CPU only review we decided not to give this the full batch of tests and instead decided to save these results for the stand alone motherboard reviews and this also allowed us a little more time to wait for more mature BIOS which will no doubt bring improvements in both benchmark scores and stability.
