Such is the ease with which SiSoft’s Sandra can separate the CPU from the rest of the system and test it to the hilt it is perhaps unsurprising that the i7-5820K falls neatly into clock speed order. One of the downsides to reviewing CPUs is that they’re always nearly linear when it comes to cores and clock speeds. At least the Intel ones are anyway. Once again at stock it’s really disappointing, but the overclock manages to just take up to the same performance as we’d seen from a stock i7-5960X.
