Thankfully PC Mark 8 has been overhauled to the point we can put it back into our benchmark suite, and the results for the Intel Core i7-5920K are encouraging.

CineBench r15

Our CineBench r15 results are thin, so it’s no surprise to discover the extra cores of the i7-5960X capable of beating out the six cored i7-5820K. Disappointing that the overclock can’t bridge some of that gap, especially with the 1GHz improvement on the i7-5960X, coupled to the two extra cores, more than doubles the i7-5820K.
