With new hardware comes the opportunity to update some benchmarks, and with the X99 it is a good chance to move from CineBench R11.5 to CineBench R15. We don’t know why the enumeration has changed so much either, but it at least gives a clear indication that if you offer the i7-5960X even a morsel of extra performance somewhere, it’s going to take it and do some good with it.
