VRM Temperature Testing

Each of these tests are run for a fixed 30 minutes with a 30 minute cool down between runs to help alleviate any heat build up. Its clear to see that the single heatsink on the MSI board is much warmer despite its side. Looking at these results if you wanted to run an overclock you would need to ensure you case had roof fans quite close to the top of the board to have any hope of keeping temps below the 100c threshold when the system will start to throttle (that’s if you can get it to run long enough to get it that hot when overclocked)
