The three different versions of PC Mark all respond differently to the type of hardware you have in your rig, hence us still utilising all three in our tests. The earlier ones, Vantage and to a lesser extent 7 Pro, really respond to high-end hardware, whereas 8 is more rounded and tends to be more about discovering weaknesses than extolling virtues. Nonetheless whether you’re running at stock or overclocked there is nothing but good stuff to report from the MSI X99A Pro Gaming Carbon.
