Overclocking

Back when the latest Intel Haswell-E CPUs and chipset was due to be released there was plenty of time for manufacturers to develop their products. Then, at the last minute, Intel brought the release date forwards leaving many companies high and dry, or at least in a frantic rush to get their products completed. This has led to nearly every model we’ve tested having loads of BIOS updates during the brief time we’re testing them.

The X99S XPOWER AC is one such board, and even by the time we’d finished up it was still incredibly unstable. As you can see from the shot below it’s capable of performance at least equal to that which we’ve seen from our other X99 motherboards. It was even OCCT stable. Just sadly the moment you tried to bench it with anything the whole system locked up so we’ll only be providing stock results today.
