ASUS GTX980 Strix Review
Introduction
Having feasted your eyes on both the ASUS GTX970 Strix and the reference nVidia model, it’s time to see what the combination of the ASUS Strix cooler and clock speeds can bring to the already excellent GTX980.
One of those great products that almost requires no introduction, you know exactly what you’re going to get, and so do we. So let’s not waste any time explaining about the Maxwell architecture and get on with the important business of overclocking the nuts off this and seeing how it performs.
Technical Specifications
ASUS have helped us on our way by overclocking the Strix to nearly 1280MHz when the GPU is on the boost. Beyond that it’s fairly standard under the hood, but that hood is the excellent ASUS DirectCU II cooler, so this should also be quite and frosty.
