15W more than the stock card, even with our overclock, is impressive stuff, especially when it’s only 12W more than the reference card which utilises 6+6 rather than 8+6 power.
Temperatures
Most people will be content to leave the card on automatic fans and it will remain silent and pretty cool, even with our beefy overclock in place. If you’re willing to sacrifice a tiny bit of that silence and run the fans a little faster then, as you can see, there are some big gains to be had from the DirectCU II cooler.
