Does AMD’s Radeon Software Adrenalin Edition Q2 2018 driver improve APU performance?

AMD Ryzen/Raven Ridge APU gaming overview

PCMARK 10

In PCMARK 10 we can see that CPU focused tests like productivity and essentials are offering similar performance levels with AMD’s latest APU drivers, with our recent tests providing marginally lower performance (within the margin of error for these tests).

In Digital Content Creation (DCC) we can see that AMD’s latest drivers can generate a boost of 185 points, which is enough to deliver an overall benchmark score that is almost 60 points higher than AMD’s older drivers, despite our marginal decrease in Productivity and Essentials scores.

A 4% increase in our Digital Content Creation Score is no small feat for a driver update, showcasing that AMD’s latest drivers will have a performance impact in at least some applications outside of gaming.
